A perfumed, generous red. Star anise, pepper and florals over cherry liqueur, then red berries, blackcurrant and sweet spice on a long finish. Generous and round, with soft edges.
Made for the grill and the long lunch. Lamb cutlets with rosemary, beef ragout with gnocchi, steak with ceps, or just the barbecue.
It comes from Château de Gourdon in the Southern Rhône, near Bollène, where the first vines went in in 1870 and the Mistral wind keeps the fruit healthy. Tikveš bought the estate in 2018. This is its easy-going red.

Orders placed before noon on a working day are despatched the same working day. Then two to five working days to England, Scotland and Wales, and longer to the islands.

Every order is signed for. We do not leave wine in a safe place, with a neighbour, or at a locker or parcel shop.
Damaged in transit: tell us within 48 hours with photographs of the bottle and the outer box. Nothing comes back and we replace or refund it.
Change of mind: 14 days from delivery, unopened, and the return postage is yours.
Corked or faulty: we replace or refund it within six months of delivery.
