The French Trio

Three bottles, one red, one rosé and one white, in a wine gift set made to be an easy first order. It suits anyone who wants to start with something familiar, or a host who needs one present that covers the whole table. Pour the rosé with grilled fish or charcuterie. Pour the white with seafood or chicken. Keep the red for later in the evening. All three come from Château de Gourdon in the Southern Rhône, so the set holds together as one estate.

In the set

• Terrasse à l'Ombre. The red of the three.
• Mistral au Jardin. A rosé of cherry, strawberry and raspberry, with rose, violet and a touch of ground pepper. Good with mild cheeses, chicken and seafood. It's named after the Mistral wind.
• Fontaine du Sud. A white of apricot, white peach and dried mandarin peel, with citrus and flowers. Have it with seafood, chicken, pasta or buttered vegetables.
