A big, warming red for slow dinners. Dark fruit first, prune, sour cherry and blackberry, then vanilla and chocolate from the oak. Full-bodied and dry, with pepper, anise and a little cinnamon. The alcohol is high but it sits inside the wine. The finish is long and juicy.
Pour it with lamb or prime rib. It suits roast dinners and long evenings. Give it a big glass and a little air.
This is our flagship red. A field blend of Kratošija and Vranec, grown together and picked together, then aged eighteen months in new French oak. It has the structure to keep, six to eight years if you want to lay it down. Serve it at 16 to 18 degrees.
Barovo is the highest fruit garden in the Balkans. Small parcels climb to 700 metres at the foot of the Kozuf mountains, where fog and morning dew slow the fruit and hold its freshness. Tikveš has made wine since 1885.

Every order is signed for. We do not leave wine in a safe place, with a neighbour, or at a locker or parcel shop.
Damaged in transit: tell us within 48 hours with photographs of the bottle and the outer box. Nothing comes back and we replace or refund it.
Change of mind: 14 days from delivery, unopened, and the return postage is yours.
Corked or faulty: we replace or refund it within six months of delivery.
