A smooth, generous red that everyone at the table can agree on. Redcurrant and cherry up front, with sweet spice, vanilla and a little cinnamon behind. Soft tannins, real body, then darker fruit, cedar and toast on a long fruity finish.
An easy match for everyday cooking done properly. Roast veal, grilled pork, aged hard cheeses. The bottle to open when nothing was planned and you still want it to feel considered.
We chose it as the way into our reds. It carries the dark fruit and warmth the bigger wines deliver, in a softer and friendlier shape, at a price that lets you find out.

Orders placed before noon on a working day are despatched the same working day. Then two to five working days to England, Scotland and Wales, and longer to the islands.
England £10. Scotland and Wales £15. The Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Scottish Highlands and Islands and the Isles of Scilly £30. Free on orders of £100 or more to England, Scotland and Wales.
We do not deliver to Northern Ireland.
Every order is signed for. We do not leave wine in a safe place, with a neighbour, or at a locker or parcel shop.
Damaged in transit: tell us within 48 hours with photographs of the bottle and the outer box. Nothing comes back and we replace or refund it.
Change of mind: 14 days from delivery, unopened, and the return postage is yours.
Corked or faulty: we replace or refund it within six months of delivery.
