Honey on the nose, then citrus underneath and something floral through the middle. Pale greenish yellow in the glass. It is semi-dry, so it finishes sweet, and that is the point of it.
Serve it properly cold, straight out of the fridge. It handles spice, so it is a good bottle for a curry or a Thai takeaway. It also works with a cheeseboard, with cured ham, or on its own on a warm afternoon.
This is a semi-dry wine and we would rather say so plainly. A sweet finish is not what everyone wants, and it is easier to tell you now than to take a bottle back later.
Tikveš has been making wine since 1885. It is the oldest and largest winery in South East Europe, and this is one of its everyday bottles.
