A deep, spicy red with proper grip. Blackberry and black cherry first, then blueberry, pomegranate and dried herbs. The tannins are firm and the finish is long. It is warm and dark and makes no apology for it.
This is a wine for food with char on it. Grilled meat, roast lamb, veal, pork, ripe cheeses. Open it when the grill is going or the oven has been on all afternoon.
Vranec means black stallion, and the wine drinks like the name: dark, strong and sure of itself. Picked by hand into chilled crates, fermented in concrete, rested a year before release.
